Spring has finally arrived here in the Shire… for real this time! Sadly, our bees did not survive the winter, but we will try again. There are a couple dozen Dominique eggs in the incubator, and the Rollers are setting eggs as well. I started 20 cuttings from our elderberry bushes, and all but 6 are doing very well.
I’ll be starting some seeds for the gardens as well… flowers, herbs and vegetables.
This year’s agenda includes building a new chicken coop. Our current coop is well over 20 years old and showing it’s age badly. I’ll post updates on how that project is going once the ground is dry enough to get started.
